I've been lurking the forums here for awhile, and like so many others I decided to get back in the hobby after a long break. I haven't built a model since I came back from my first semester in college in 1998, to find my parents had decided do some housekeeping on my room. By house keeping I mean storing everything but a bed and dresser in the basement. Luckily they assured me all the models I made were safe, and had put them all in a (single) plastic garbage bag in the basement (and piled ever more junk on top of them).
Now that I'm a bit older and finally getting some extra free time on my hands, not to mention a safe spot to display/store what I build!, I'm taking up the pastime I loved so much when was younger. I never really had any artistic ability when it came modeling, but they sure do satisfy my need to tinker. Mostly my interests are in 1/48th scale aircraft from WWII to modern jets. I also built a couple ship models as well as a kid.
First up for me now is Revell's 1/48th F-15E. I read that you guys like pictures, and thought you might get a kick out of this. I found all my old paint bottles when digging through my old supplies. As I started getting some new paint and tools I wished they still went for this price!
Anyways, looking forward to re-learning the little bit of model building knowledge I had and lost and learning a lot from everyone here.
