Hi kids! Another FNG here...
After lurking around for a few days, I finally decided to sign up and join the fun. I'm in my mid-fifties and haven't built a model for 40+ years! I used to build all of the cool George Barris custom cars, race cars, as well as some custom creations that I cobbled together with all of the extra parts that came with the race cars (if you wanted to build it as factory-stock).
Life has taken some crazy turns and I was looking for a new hobby. So I think I'm reverting to my youthfull interests, but what to build?
Then it hit me. I currently work for a company that designs and manufactures ballistic protection systems for rotary wing aircraft. Hey! I got an idea! What if I were to build helicopters and outfit them with miniature replicas of the product(s) we make! I could display them in my office all all to ogle. I would have to be very meticulous with the details.
