    “Time hurries by,
Hare and colt jostle each other,
Old friends with gray hair are few.
If one has the price of a few cups,
it’s best to be drunk among the flowers.”

AGING COLLECTOR INTRODUCTION

At age 71, with one good eye and one about 80% blind, and some "essential tremor", my building days are essential over but I am seriously collecting hand built and painted plastic models of tanks, aircraft, and waships of the WW2 era. I buy them from USA, Canada, Mexico, China, Eastern and Western Europe.

TANK scales 1/35, 1/48, 1/72, 1/25. AIRCRAFT 1/48, 1/72, 1/32. SHIPS 1/350, 1/700, 1/200.

Total models in plastic collection somewhere between 1,000 and 1,500(?)

ALSO collect diecast models tanks and aircraft by CORGI, DRAGON, MARUSHIN, WITTY, FRANKLIN MINT/ARMOUR, and others. Total diecast models is 700-1,000(?)

NEPTUN diecast 1/1250 ship collection: about 100 or more, mostly SpiderNavy with rigging, some with rigging and railings.

Large scale(1/220, 1/280)  Philippine mahogany warship models with rigging - about 20 of these, battleships, carriers, cruisers.

Special interest is Japanese warships and aircraft of WW2.

So many models! So little space! Now trying to organize them, do an inventory, store them and eventually make them available for display.
