Found this site about a week ago and have really enjoyed getting all the tips I've found throughout the forums here. I've modeled on and off for the past decade or so, never really taking it as an invested interested. Now I've decided to make it my hobby as I just got done a 1971 Plymouth GTX. Normally I do cars and the occasional aircraft but now I'm thinking about getting into armor.
Since I've decided to get into armor I'm considering getting myself an airbrush and a compressor but have noticed they're pretty pricey. I'm not looking to drop a small fortune when I can just as easily paint with a spray can and a brush but there is the obvious difference when you see the airbrush at work.
Any thoughts or advice on compressors or airbrushing in general would be appreciated as I'm still on the fence about dropping the cash for one or not.
