Tom, thank you kindly for your information about uploading pics, David K did the same, I don't wish to look rude by using his advice but it was down to the fact that I had opened a flickr account before having problems and David is on flickr too, but I appreciate you taking the time to offer your help. I uploaded my first pics onto my 'Tamiya 1/350 'Big E' Enterprise CVN65' thread if your interested!

Kind regards,

Jockster

Ta muchly Hercmech, I've bought a lot of model magazines over the years, but I have settled on FSM as the one I can't wait to buy each month and the site has put me in contact with a lot of talented and friendly people!

Thanks Tom, with both you and DavidK (Zvezda Black Swan Build) holding my hand, I should hopefully get through this. But don't hold your breath.

Jockster

I just don't 'get' computers and as a result cannot post pics yet!

Welcome Sign Okay, I’ll admit that I was a rocket scientist (aerospace engineer, really), but its not that hard, really, I promise. (There are several ways to do this. Just follow the sound of my voice…)

Go to the Photobucket Album page and click on the thumbnail. This brings up a viewing window.

In another tab/window, fire-up the FSM forum composition panel you want to post into. Compose. When you’re ready to insert your photo…

Go back to the Photobucket tab. Highlight the SECOND entry (the Direct Link button). Do NOT do anything that disturbs the copy buffer.

Once again, go to the FSM post-in-progress. On the SECOND tier of the message control bar, the TWELFTH icon, the aqua-colored one that looks like a swatch of film (you remember film? But I digress…) It says ‘Insert Media CLICK IT.

Another panel opens! You’re almost there

Send (Ctrl-V) the URL you copied from Photobucket four steps back. The ‘Insert Mediapanel closes and your image is inserted, like this

This grainy satellite photo shows a facility that we
suspect is an enriching plastic to weapons grade.

THATS IT! The rest is just the fiddly bits & formatting,
which I know you already know.

Occasional factual, grammatical, or spelling variations are inherent to this thesis and should not be considered as defects, as they enhance the individuality and character of this document.

Model on, and enjoy the hobby!

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Welcome Sign Glad your likeing the site, it can take a bit of getting used to with some of the weirdness around, but its a greta place to be. Posting pics, now that has to be the most asked question here. This was a toot DoogsATX wrote a while back. I think it still applies to the site since the change.
