Welcome Sign

I, too, returned to modelling after many years away.  Stash piles become mountainous before you know it.  Enjoy!

Welcome back Greg! The kids are asking questions too? That can't be a bad thing either.

Howdy...I've been a lurker for a while and decided to join.  I only have one model in the stash, the model I'm about to start; as like many - I'm just getting back into the hobby.  My first models were built when I was 10 or so, all Cold War-era jets.  They were built ok, the paint and decaling were pretty bad.

I got out of the hobby, but somewhat returned when I started playing Games Workshop Lord Of The Rings tabletop game.  Playing that forced me to paint models again, and I found I loved it.  And, I gained a new appreciation for modeling.  However, my friends that played that game have all moved away or stopped playing.  So, again, it's been years since I've modeled/painted.

While in the attic, the kids were asking me about my old models.  I started thinking about it, and decided to go back and see what I could do.  So, I've been lurking, and reading, and learning.  And now it's time to dive in.  I suspect I'll trying WWII planes, as it is one of my favorite periods of history.  And, since I don't have the funds or the space for a booth, I think these first models will be entirely hand painted.  At least to start.

On the bench:  Tamyia Mosquito Mk. VI for the '44 group build.  Yes, still.
