Hello, I hope you have as good a time here as I will!

I do have a tank related question for you, is it true the Germans towards the end of WW2 developed an infrared sighting system for their tanks? We really don't build tanks in my hobby club but the topic does come up about certain things about WW2 tanks, no one is certain of this small detail of I.R. on German tanks.

Welcome aboard StuG. Always nice to have another Brit on here. Look forward to seeing some of your builds.

Mobius, yes it is and it was used. And the Allies were also working on similar systems, but i don't believe they were as advanced as the Germans.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

@Bish okay, thanks for that feedback. I know someone contributed an article to FSM, E-100 class (?) of tanks with I.R. sighting systems, said it was all hypothetical.

Mobius, Some modellers just dreamed of what if as I.R. equipment add on for E-100 so i never seen on E-100 with I.R. so unknown. so Build Half of E-100`s Hull chassis,  Wheelies and Tracks in German Warehouse so Captured by Amercian Allies. I wondering of where is E-100 Hull, Wheelies and Tracks origional or scrapped yard to Metal recycled ?

Mobius, i think what they meant by hypothetical was the E-100. That project was never built.

Welcome to FSM!!!!   Great to have another deaf modeler here.  Looking forward to see your current build.  I recently completed Dragon StuG III Ausf F/8 for a group build and loved it!
