Glad to be here!
Posted by rleeharris on Thursday, August 30, 2012 6:21 PM

Hello... my name is Bob Harris out of San Antonio, TX.  Recently retired from the USAF after 21 yrs, and 100% disabled.  I've had six back surgeries which have forced me to find new hobbies.  Not exactly how I saw my retirement as I envisioned myself riding my motorcycle cross-country and playing lots of golf.  So, I have come back to scale modeling and playing around with RC aircraft and trucks.  And, I just subscribed to Fine Scale Modeler--great mag.

I have been trying to build my modeling workshop back up by buying the necessities and have splurged on a few projects to get me back in the groove.  I'm a member of two other forums and I'm looking forward to the exchange here and learning from some of you pros out there!

BTW, anybody from across the pond?  Near Trier, Germany (old Hahn Air Base area)?

Cheers!

Welcome Sign And BEWARE… the screw-up fairies lives in a modeler’s closet… and daub with sticky, greasy invisible parts every night !!!

Welcome aboard, Bob! Always glad to have another voice in the discussions.

If you've got pictures of any of your projects, we'd love to see them. It's always nice to see what other modelers are up to.

Cheers

Greg
