Tigrazor is here...

Hi folks.

Im Lucas, a 30yo modeller from the far east of Germany. Favourite modelling subjects? Mmmmmh... Quite unusual stuff I guess: Not so much in planes (except a ICM Spit LF.IXE atm), more in dioramas and figures. Diorama/figures themes are mostly fantasy and steampunk, and especially medieval Japan.

Besides, I have a very special project on my bench Im working on slowly... Revells 1/16 Beetle (1951), which will be converted in my parents car of the 70ies... Rectangular rear window, another cockpit panel maybe and so on...

Regards

Lucas.

Nice to see you Lucas! How are you finding the ICM Spitfire kit?

@talentless: Oh yeah, there is. Most of the time youll find me in the figure modelling/diorama corner ;)

@Vance: Just wanted to say the same to you... ;)

@Nathan: Itzs a very good kit - wonderful panel lines, good moulding, seems to be correctly shaped, loads of details... The only thing thats maybe a minus (but thats not ICMs problem only) is the engine - its a bit too large. So if you want to have a closed engine compartment, just leave the parts in the sprue ;) On the other hand - it looks really good, just needs some cables and stuff like that. Its a competition model for the 2nd GB contest on another forum btw (am I alowed to say that?!) ;)

Cheers

Lucas.

Interesting on the ICM spit. I've seen build reviews with pics of the airplane just covered in putty and sanding dust, and saying the fit is tough. But I have a couple of their yak kits in the stash and their panel line detail like you say is actually really great. I just wish they had gotten their Yak kits as accurate as the spit.

Well, I had some issues with the left wing root. But that was my very own fault, not caused by ICM. And if youre lucky, youcan get those Spits for verylittle money (payed 7 € for it)
