Models with glue blobs ???   Paint drips ???     You forgot the most importaint  GOOF of all.....  The almighty  "THUMB PRINT" !    Dont forget to put it where it will be seen  before anything else !

Welcome to the forums ! Dont be afraid to share your pictures with us. We  ALL have models that look like crap somewhere in our basement,  or attic, or.......  Blown up in the backyard!

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Recon89

Thanks everyone for the moral support.  I'm computer challanged, so when I find out how to post pictures I'll try to add some, if people promise not to laugh.  There needs to be some articles in the magazine about some of us that don't quite have the perfect historically correct and detailed model, with some seams showing, a paint drip here and there, and a glue blob in obvious places.  I could start it off.

No need to worry, all level are welcome hear. As for historical accuracy, at the end of the day its your kit, build it how you like. And if a rivet counter like me points something out, its only done to help and done in the nicest way.

Learning how to post pics is all a part of the iniation.

I, too, just got back into it.  Hadn't done it since I was about 12 or so.  35 now (so old  Wink)  I was surprised how much is still the same, but how much is different.  I am going to be getting into armor, so maybe you can help me.  Dioramas are on the horizon too.  Just need to find a place to display them...lol!  The guys here have made me feel really welcome...hope they did you too.  Welcome back...

Yup, welcome back.  Most of the changes since the '60's have been good changes--at least, to the modeling world.

Hello to all.  As with many others, I grew up with models, but then quit.  Boy, have things changed since the 60's.  A couple of years ago a friend wanted me to model his Viet Nam PBR boat that I found, and since I found I could still see the tiny parts, that got me started again.

I mostly model armor right now, but would like to do some WW2 aircraft also.  I'm in the process of doing dioramas with the vehicles that would have been in Dad's WW2 89th Cavalry Recon squadron.  I've learned a lot from FSM in just the short time I've been back.
