Clear coat

I have a quick question regarding the correct clear to use on flat acrylics. I am recently building my first Dr.1 Fokker. I'm using the only paint I have that is currently available to me witch is Polly Scale's Model Railroad. It's Revell's Manfred von Richthofen's plane in the 1:28 scale and am using a color I actually think will look pretty good. The caboose red.I know I need to apply clear before any decaling, yet the latest article I read said It was OK to use acrylic clear over enamels and lacquers, but not to use enamel or lacquer clear over acrylics! That is all kind of a long winded way of asking, "What can I use over the acrylic I'm using? The thing is I really don't want a gloss shine. I want it looking worn from flight use.I would appreciate any input from anyone regarding my little problem.....

Thanks, Niccolai46

I have put enamal clear over Tamiya acrylics without any problem.

You might get more play by posting this in the Paint and Airbrush Forum rather then the Itroduction Forum.

But welcome anyway
