Welcome to the Forum, Mike!

And some B-17's did develop a purplish hue, as the olive drab paint faded and weathered in mysterious ways.

Welcome aboard. As already mentioned, maybe people here have returned to the hobby at some point. Mine was only a brief break, just 5 years, and I noticed a big difference on my return. So dive in and enjoy and feel free to ask if there's anything your not sure of.

I take it that's the 1/48th B-17. The booklet that came with that kit showing Shep Paine's diorama is what got me into dio's. I look forward to seeing your.

Once you have a scan through the forums, you will see there are sections for most things. Anything that doesn't seem to fit can go into General Modelling discussions.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Hey, Mike! Great to have you. A good number of folks in here have returned after an extended hiatus to model building, myself included. Jump on in, maybe find a Group Build that'll fit your interests and get something out of the stash. In my opinion, there's no better place than the FSM forums to share and learn about all that is scale model building.

Bill.

On the bench:  Lindberg 1/32 scale 1934 Ford Coupe and a few rescue projects.

In queue:  Tamiya 1/35 Quad Tractor or a scratch build project.

Welcome aboard Mike, glad to have you with us! I share similar interests...a little bit of everything. Hope you enjoy your time here. Jump in and ask (or answer) a question, find a Group Build that interests you, and, if you care to, post pictures. We love pictures.

Hi! I'm new here...

Hi all! My name is Mike, I'm 56 years old and interested in building models. I've been away from the hobby for many years but now I'm back. My main interest is 1/25th scale cars and trucks but I love to build everything, planes, ships ect. I put a more detailed introduction on my profile,, being new to forums I'm not sure yet where to post things. If I can make the profile available to everyone I will (excluding personal info of course). If not? we'll get to know each other over time I'm sure. Anyway I'm happy to be here and I'll look forward to sharing my thoughts and ideas and learning from the community as well.

                                                                                                                    Thanks for including me
