Hello
Posted by Marcus McBean on Friday, September 20, 2013 8:44 PM

Hello everyone. A month ago I decided to try my hand at building ship models.  My only experience was with few plastic models forty years ago.  Models have come along way with the detailing and photo-etching add on.

I picked a training model along with after-market photo-etch kit that will allow me to learn everything from sanding, fitting, painting, cementing, folding and installing photo-etch parts. The model is a 1/350 Liberty ship the "O'Brien" by Trumpeter.  I am sure many of you out there are familiar with this kit.  I am counting on it.

I clean out a spot in the garage for a large work table and shelving.  Started on the model labor day weekend and I been taking my time.  Ready to tackle my first photo-etch part.  A lot of them sure are tiny.
