Hello from Indiana
Posted by RetiredCop on Thursday, December 5, 2013 11:22 PM

Hello All,

I am new to your modelling community and to this forum.  I am a retired Police Officer.  I worked for 26 1/2 years in a variety of positions on my small department.

I used to model, primarily 1/25 scale autos and trucks from kits, when I was a teen and then young man.  Now that I have SO much time on my hands I want to re-enter the hobby.

I really loved building civilian Jeep models, I believe they were MPC brands, and I have built a number of AMT's big truck model kits.  I am interested in building Jeeps again as well as kits of the later-model, BMW-built, Mini Cooper's as we recently purchased a full-scale version of this iconic vehicle.

Well, that's about it.  Thank you for your hospitality.

Welcome to the forums Tom!  Glad to have you on board.  Thank you for 26.5 years of service!  Much appreciated!  Now don't forget to post pics of the vehicles you build!  I'm not much into the vehicle genre, but am fascinated by how you guys make them look great!

Retired, post up some pics of your builds when you finish em, and look into joining one of the Automotive Group Builds.      And have a nice day.

Nothing ever fits……..and when it does, its the wrong scale.

To make mistakes is human.  To blame it on someone else shows management potential.

Yo RC.

Thanks for saying hello.  Looking forward to seeing some of your jeeps.  Always a great vehicle to model.
