While I have made models of protypes and newly designed products for 50 years, that was all full scale and never from kits. I got interested in scale modeling because of my love of the A6M Zero-Sen all models. I have been airbrushing as an illustrative medium for many years and have a reasonably complete shop as well. While a person can never have too many tools the limits are pushed pretty hard in my garage and basement. Still, there is so much to learn with fine quality scale modeling I am a bit apprehensive.

sounds like you are set. already have the attention to detail, patience when working with new designs, airbrushing skills, tools, space, and time. i believe model building increases the life span because it gives you a focus and i "reason to get up in the morning." i am 82  62 and one of the youngest guys in my wood ship club (i don't do wood but they don't care)

welcome to the forums.
