Introduction and my first armor build
Posted by Bubbajoe on Thursday, December 19, 2013 3:14 PM

Good afternoon and Happy Holidays. I've been lurking around for a few months and thought i'd finally say hello and tell everyone how absolutely in awe i am of the skill level i have seen here. just amazing!!! names bubbajoe...joe is fine. heading over the hump of middle age .getting more and more AARP mail. i have a very physical job but to be honest its not very challenging ,so last year i started building models to learn some new skills and try my hand at this hobby .just to keep the ole squash working. built many models as a kid but haven't done any in decades up til last year. built a few hotrods with mixed results. was talked into trying military by a young guy who works for me and has a real talent for it. so he gave me a tamiya 6x6 which sat on my desk for almost a year. finally got the nerve to open the box and have at it. please excuse the lousy photos... i'd love to hear some feedback, pointers and criticisms(don't worry i have my big boy pants on)   I really enjoyed doing this build and have already picked up my next build  a tamiya M41 bulldog

so here it is

just figured out how to edit the post.first photo is a bit blury

Welcome to the Forums Joe! Glad to have you aboard! Looks great for a beginner at military vehicles. Keep at it and enjoy. I've been building for 67 of my 73 years and enjoyed every minute of it (well almost). Still learning how to weather.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
