Hi there !
Posted by JayF on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 11:28 AM

Hello all

I’m a passionate about history in general, especially military history. I’m in my early 40’s, a long time lurker to this site but quite new to the hobby (started modeling seriously just barely over one year ago), so I call myself an “advanced newbie”, as I have acquired some experience with assembling and painting plastic models, but I’m still very much in the “newbie” part of the spectrum. Meaning I still have a ton and a half to learn !

So far I’ve been making mostly 1/72 WWII era aircrafts and two (quite old) 1/35 vehicles : Italeri CWT Chevy Truck and Tamiya M5A1 light tank. No cars yet, but I have the AMT 2009 Corvette in my stash.

What I’m building at the moment are : the very old Italeri Hetzer tank destoyer, with which I’m trying to make a small diorama, and my first ever 1/48 aircraft, Revell TBF Avengers (reboxing of a venerable Monogram kit from the 60’s).

Looking forward to talking with you guys !

Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you aboard! I've been learning something new almost every day and I've been building for 67 of my 73 years. Welcome to the hobby. Lots of great guys, and gals, on here that are ready, willing and able to help you with any questions/problems that you may have. All you have to do is post pics of your builds. That is what keeps us happy. Enjoy!
