Greetings From Canada
Posted by Rob S. on Thursday, January 30, 2014 7:32 PM

Goodday All, long time builder, first time subscriber to FSM. Bought it off the stand for years, but just 4 months ago, took the plunge and subscribed. Anyways, primarily 1/72 aircraft enthusiast. I do all eras prob into jet age. I am mostly out of the box builder, but, have recently dabbled with a few aftermarket resin parts and decal sets. I always have a project on the go and have a rather large collection. I have a small stash of 1/32 Wingnut Wings examples and absolutely love this company (even though I have little room for the size of them, but, I squeeze them in).

Just for a radical change of pace, I tried 3 1/700 ships. Had a great time on them, never realizing what a massive challenge they were. I always thought, "throw 'em together and paint 'em grey". NOT SO!! Very challenging and go together great!

As I am a huge Battlestar Galactica (old and new) fan, I have most of Moebius's kits. Fantastic kits.

I used to be a massive 1/35 armour modeler, but, due to their size, I gave all of my kits away. I have a small collection of 1/72 armour, but, I am not focusing on this genre right now.

Anyway, that's me. Looking forward to contributing and benefiting from this forum!!

Welcome to the forums Rob!  Lots of us in here from the Great White North - I'm in north central BC.

Wingnut Wings you say?  You have exquisite taste in kits and modeling subjects.  I love 'em too- built 4 with 5 more still in the stash.  In fact, there's a group build taking entries now and the theme is WWI. Why not stop by, have a look and join up!  Yes
