New to this site. Live in Indiana (USA). Been building models for eons, but just recently tried Tall Ship models. Just finished a 1/96 Cutty Sark and it was a challenge. Normally I build planes, cars, and 0ne (1)Tank. Do about 2 models a year and each one learn something new it seems. Project now is the Zvezda 1/72 Black Swan, loved the movies. Purchased it out of Japan for an unbelievable price, under 100 smackers! Since this is my 2nd Sailing Ship, it will be another challenge. I've never attempted washes, etc. and want to do this somewhat right. So, I'll just be watching forums on that model and getting tips, etc. Other than that, happy to part of the forums.

Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you aboard!

I've been building for 67 of my 73 years and build whatever strikes my fancy at the time. As you can see from my avatar, I like building sailing ships too. My wife picked out the "Scottish Maid" from one of my catalogs and asked me to build it for our den, which is done in a beach theme. It took me two years to build but I enjoyed every minute of it. If you have any questions or problems, just ask as there are lots of great guys and gals, that are very knowledgeable and ready, wiling, and able to help you.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
