Greetings from a newbie
Posted by BarrettDuke on Sunday, March 2, 2014 3:14 PM

Hey, everyone. I'm just getting back into modeling after 45 years away, as a teenager. I think I'll work exclusively on WW II period tanks and other land vehicles and weapons. Though, I may build a few late 60's early 70's muscle cars, as well. It may be my only way of ever having one! I'm looking forward to creating dioramas for many WW II pieces as well. I'm counting on many of you experienced folks for much advice. And I'm looking forward to participating in our community. I was going to attach some pics of what I'm working on, but can't figure out how to do it. Maybe later, but it might be as interesting as pictures of other people's grandchildren! :-) Anyway, I'm looking forward to our conversations.

Welcome to the Forums Barrett! Glad to have you aboard!

Welcome back to the hobby. I've been building for 67 of my 73 years and I build whatever strikes my fancy at the time. There are lots and lots of great guys, and gals, on here that are ready, willing, and able to help you with any problems or questions that you may have. So, sit back, have a sip or two of your favorite beverage Coffee Beer Wink and build away. Enjoy.

Welcome aboard. And please feel free to share your pics, we love loads here and they are really useful for getting advice. To post pics you need a hosting sight such as photo bucket. Once they are on there, you use the rich formatting link next to the reply button, the option for posting pics, quoting, using smilies and other things are in there.

Barrett, It is awesome to have you join us here. You will indeed find all the assistance and tips you want plus so much more here on this forum. Bring on the pics. There is no such thing as a boring pic of a plastic model.
