Hello from Hawaii
Posted by B_one fixer on Thursday, April 17, 2014 10:53 PM
Hello all ! I retired about a year ago from the Air Force. I crewed B-1B's and also did flight control rigging on them my entire career. I build a lot of model kits before I joined the military, but since being in have not had the time to do any. So now that I find myself with a lot of time I have decided to get back in the game I plan on picking up the hobby once again. I have a few kits in my stash I have acquired over the years which I plan on starting. I have seen a bunch of helpful tips here and look forward to chatting with some of you soon. Thanks !

Howdy Fixer!

Welcome back. The B-1 is a beautiful bird. What a honor it must have been to service them.  Thanks for your service, and I trust you are enjoying retirement. Looking forward to seeing you out and about.

Where exactly are you? I spent most of a summer in Kailua on Oahu back in the late 70's, a paradise to be sure.

Good Modeling,

Aloha! Been there a few times. Was married on Kauai in 1991. Stayed for a month. By the third week, I was looking for a house and a job. Didn't want to leave. Too gorgeous. My brother lived there for a while after he retired from the army after 20 years.
