WOW! New to ANY kind of forum what a warm killer welcome! So please bear with me as I share. TRI500=TIMOTY P. MCGRATH origin Saginaw,MI. Which was blessed with a local, TAITS HOBBY SHOP,'63 till now ROGERS HOBBY, that gave this LAD memories that equal that of an X-MAS morning. I share a birthdate with Steve McQueen, I know where I was when, Kennedy was shot,& Neal stepped on the moon. My age? I now reside in Harbor Beach,Mi. a small town on the east hangnail of the thumb. Which is give or take 75 miles North of no hobby shop! Per Don's advice I've focused on WWII aircraft pacific theater, starting with aircraft flown by Stanley(Swede)Vejtasa, I believe I've seen a decal sheet for the wildcat he flew but can't confirm. Any other tid bits concerning him and his aircraft would rock! THANKS GUYS!

Oh, yes, I will always be a Wolverine fan! Especially while I live in Buckeye territory now!

Try this link for your Swede Vejtasa 1/48 F4F Decal set:

http://www.printscale.org/product_213.html

They also have the set in 1/72, not sure which scale you were looking for.

Ha, now that I have seen these, I think I'm going to get a set too! LOL!

THANKS for the welcome. Your on the bench Kearsarge , takes me back  to extreme fond memories,of a close friend & I saving the 10.00 dollars  (a weeks wages for a bus boy in the 60's)  to buy the Kearsarge  and him the Alabama, he being a South Carolina boy!  A  group build of 2, 13 yr. olds began, rigging as I remember was a nitemare!  Both after finished were displayed in our Fathers, offices, respectively! Kind of like wearing Ties my daughters made me for Fathers day!  Thanks for the memories Jim!
