Welcome Sign  The FineScaleModeler forum can cause double vision, urinary tract infections, firehose diarrhea, projectile vomiting, cramps, muscle spasms, lung cogestion, hives, hemorrhoids, suicidal thoughts, and paranoid delusions. You have nothing to worry about, but rest assured FSM research is doing everything it can to put an end to that.

Occasional factual, grammatical, or spelling variations are inherent to this thesis and should not be considered as defects, as they enhance the individuality and character of this document.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome!  Will plan to post up a pic of my first test beasts this weekend.  Learned quite a bit so far from these ones on what NOT TO DO!  But really want to hear from you all!

Welcome to the Forums Thlorian! Glad to have you aboard!

I've been building for 67 of my 73 years and am still learning something new almost every day. Lots of great people on here that are willing to help out with any problems/questions that you might have. No such thing as a dumb question on here. Some of the answers MIGHT BE a little funny as some of us (like me) have been sniffing glue and paint fumes for a long time.

Don't forget to post pics of your builds. That way we can see what you're doing and will be more able to help.

Hello - I have been "collecting" plastic models for over 10 years now.  I say collecting because sadly NONE have ever been built . . . until now.  My interest is mainly in Armored Tanks and Battleships.  I am in the process of working on two tanks and am about 2/3 of the way done.  They are not pretty and there are some "miscues' but my goal was to just FINALLY finish building SOMETHING first for starters. From here I plan to improve on the next ones.  I have never used an airbrush or weathering techniques so the next few weeks will be "interesting" to say the least.  I bought a Badger 250 Basic Spray gun YEARS ago and just now opened it up!   Once I learn how to use it and know what I am doing, I can upgrade to something fancier down the road (perhaps a dual action version).  Until yesterday, I had no idea what single or dual action spray guns were!  Like I said - I am a newbie!  I have started actually READING the FSM magazines that I have been subscribing to for years but had never sat down to read!  With all of this said, I am going to be posting 2-3 questions weekly in the forums about techniques that are talked about or mentioned in FSM but I have no clue what they mean as I am a complete newbie.  So if you see my newbie posts, please-please-please respond with any advice/tips you can give me!  Looking forward to FINALLY enjoying this hobby after a decade of collecting!  Thanks!
