Need Help

Somebody figured out a while back that the average age on here is 40 something. We need more "old guys" here to keep an eye on these young whippersnappers. I've been building for 67 of my 73 years and, with my stash, I should be building for about the next 200 or so years. Soooooooo, I guess I'll be building at that great workbench in the sky.

Yeah, well it's more out of frustration that I went with the resin parts. I'll see what I can do with my new-found recommendations

Welcome aboard!  Glad to have you on the forums!  Let us know how your resin adventures go.  I've been back into the hobby for a couple of years now and STILL have not tried working with resin!  You are more brave than I!

Welcome aboard. Resin parts are a bit tricky to work with, a saw is defiantly good advice. You can then file off any access.

I don't do armor but I've worked with resin.  Try a razor saw to detach the parts, then you can clean them up with files and sandpaper as usual.  While you saw, grip the pieces as close to the sawing site as possible to reduce stress on the part.

Be careful!  They can be brittle as you have learned.

Some folks recommend respiratory protection from the resin dust.
