Posted by connorMcclain on Thursday, October 9, 2014 2:12 AM

so im back lol.. but under a sad circumstance.. i said in my B-24D posting that i was gonna join the army.. i did i was in the future soldier program for 3 months.. then my recuiters talked to my counsilor and she said i wasnt able to graduate on time... (due to my dad being in the army and so for that we move alot) so i was 4 credits behind..  so they basically said.. im sorry but we gotta kick you out.. so i didnt get to ship to BCT.. then 2 months later.. found out we are moving again.. (back to colorado lol) so now i have nothing else to do besides models and school.

this time im gonna be even more detailed.. pictures will still continue to be crappy (due to not having the greatest phone) but im building my first ship (USS Arizona) since i have a WWII theme build.

Welcome back!  Sorry to hear about your disappointing experience, but maybe things will work out better in the future.

In the meantime:  model on!

Welcome back. That a bit of a bad deal, you can't join the army because your dad is in and you move a lot. That makes no sense. Don't they make allowance when your dad is due to move in regards to your schooling.

Well that's harsh, glad they don't do that here. You would think they would make some allowance.

What's this points system, do you need so many points to join the army.

Don't worry, you're welcome back here, for as long as you want.

Just rare back, do your best in school,  get the all education you can. Then when all things are good go,   into the nearest Army Recruiter and ask him/her to sign you up.

My Army time was the best/worst time of my life; wouldn't trade a minute of it.

You'll get more out of it than you realize at the time- but you'll will be more prepared for life "stuff" as you move on.

Beware though there are wing nuts thick on the ground in the Springs area. They are alright generally, but are a bit flighty at times.

Welcome back tot he forums.  No worries about the Army.  You are doing what you can and that's all one could ask of anyone.  I'm sure it will all work out in the in.  And thanks for wanting to serve!  I did 21 years in the Air Force and it was an adventure to say the least.  Ups and downs, but you will get that in life no matter what.  So, in the meantime....model on!
