I too tried that Vostok kit. It was not very accurate. I worked on it for a long time and I still did not get the results that I wanted. You can get many of the older space kits on EBay, but their going prices are enough to give you a headache.

Welcome to the forum, Mark. I agree about the real space kits. As a kid in the '60's, I built all of the Mercury, Gemini, & Apollo kits. I even picked up Revell's 1/24 Vostok kit a few years ago (it needs a LOT of work)
Have fun & enjoy the site !

Hello from the Big Sky!

I am from Bozeman, Montana and I have been building models since I was around 8 years old. I had the usual break when I did the college thing, but that only kept me down a few years. I am most interested in aircraft, anywhere from WWII through very modern day. One particular interest I have had is airliners. Mostly the Boeing stuff but others too. Another big interest is Real Space. I feel that this subject has not had the attention it deserves. There has been more kits appearing, but mostly the very high priced multi media kits. The major kit makers I think could make money on some injection molded kits other than the shuttle. Hope to talk to many of you soon!
