Hello everyone. I became a member of this site more than a year ago. Joined up basically to learn the tricks of the trade (scale modelling).
Well, I got back into the hobby after about 15 years, primarily because most modelling stuff isn't available here in India. Took me a year to just collect all stuff from various sources.
I began working with the hobby sometime in late 2014 and with small experiments on learning to build and paint. Many experts on the site helped me gain an understanding of the art of scale modelling.
A year later, I have built 5 1:72 scale and about 8 1:144 scale models. I am a hairy stick painter and I love it.
Proud to say that people have loved my creations, in a country where it is the rarest of expensive hobbies to follow.
A big thank you to all, Don Stauffer and Tojo72, in particular, who have answered the most stupid of questions I asked.
Without further blabbering, here is the latest of my 1:72 scale creations:
MiG-21F-13 Type 74, of "The First Supersonics" squadron, flown by then Sqn.Ldr. Malcolm SD Wollen, Chandigarh Air Force Base, 1963. The model is all hairy-stick painted and so are the insignia (the flag and the roundels)
