No Doubt...I spent some time in the Caymans with a fellow divemaster from CT. This guy was the spitting image of John Cleese complete with sense of humor (and accent). If he is any indication of the population, it must be a blast.
All travel now includes children, and I wouldn't get away without a trip to Seal Island, so I guess it'll have to be during seal breeding season or whenever those buggers are leaping. My son watches this DVD 'Air Jaws' filmed with CT in the backround. I wouldn't hesitate jumping into a cage off of California or Austrailia, but your White Sharks are a bit too active for my taste.

Ausf: the one (stunning) picture taken of a jumping shark is (imho) a rare occurance. But hey, maybe it's because I haven't asked the right people. They do also take you on a lot of shark dives, etc around here. You must just time your travel carefully. I don't know when the season is exactly, but I have a friend that will know. Well, then there's teh oceanarium as well - quite impressive, esp if you're into that kinda stuff.

And even if you don't come for the sharks (and I'm not talking rugby here...) there is so much to see and do around CT - just come over and have a great time!

My four year old son wants to go to Cape Town (me too) to see the White Sharks jump. I don't think my Lab does, he looks too much like a seal.

Not have a normal phone conversation - sounds like a bargain! I positively hate phones (my wife fully compensates for that...) because of their connection to stanby-calls. But staying there was fun!

My dad and his family are from South Africa. We visited there last year. Went to capetown and the wine area for a while then up near durban for the remainder of the trip.

Hi There! I'm a 30 y/o surveyor in the construction industry - mainly roads. I build mainly WW2 aircraft, with the odd vehicle and ship, although I don't spend as much time building as I would like to. I enjoy sports - field hockey and rugby. I "stay" in Pretoria and live where ever there's a work.

Shirkes: No, unfortunately not! "Close to CT" is about 60 km's from CT! But I grew up in Upington. (Madmodelfactory might tell you more about that place - HOT!!) There we stayed close to the airport, which was used for both military and civilian planes. Our house was right in line with the major mil. flightpath, so I used to spend hours watching planes come in/ wave to pilots, etc!

Been through there a few times, some good wines down there in the Cape.
