I think it only takes a day or two till you get posts on instantly.

Hang in there, it's really worth the wait.

Anybody have any idea when my new member "trial period" ends?  I have made a few posts, but they are still taking until the next day to be posted.  Sorry to the moderators if I seem a little impatient, but I have never been a member of a forum that does a "trial period" and it's starting to drive me a little crazy.

Thanks,

Daniel

Glad you joined buddy. I've learned so much being involved with the forums here as well as made quite a few friends. The group builds are one of my favorite aspects of this as they allow others to view your build in-progress and offer helpful and constructive criticism. Hope you enjoy your time here!

Hello Okie, and Welcome Aboard!!

It's great to have you here, and you have great taste in the kits you have. You will find out quickly that there are a lot of great individuals in here with a ton of knowledge, tips, techniques and experience. With your current taste make sure to visit the "aircraft" and "sci-fi" sub forums, there you will find a fountain of information and knowledge.

So, jump in and enjoy. Make sure to post some photos of your work when you can. Again, welcome and it's great to have you aboard.

New modeler here from Oklahoma...
Posted by okietwisterdan on Thursday, March 31, 2016 10:30 AM

Hello everybody!  I am a new modeler (besides some snaptite junk I did when I was a kid).  I have been working on a Revell B-24D Liberator for about a month now, and I have been lurking on FSM for tips and finally subscribed myself.  I have an Italeri C-47 and a Hobby Boss A-10 Thunderbolt that are next on the list.  When I finish, I will be giving them to my grandpa, my dad, and my brother who all served in the Air Force.  I'm sure I can get all kinds of help from you guys so I can make them the best they can be for my family.

I also have a Revell Master Series X-Wing and Tie Fighter that I will build for myself.

So far I have thoroughly enjoyed working on the B-24 and I find it relaxing.  It's something for me to do indoors...I live in Oklahoma and the wind often prevents me from flying my RC aircraft and quadcopters.
