Dorpchap First Time Onboard
Posted by dorpchap on Monday, July 4, 2016 2:02 AM

Greetings from Hong Kong. Newly arrived and though not a modeler in the strict sense of the word I am an avid collecter of diecast and injection molding aircraft but do spend quite some time carrying out repairs and modifications. I enjoy seeing how models are put together and the discussion that generates. Main motive is looking for model spares so hopefully can follow on with that. Added to that is first time submitting to a forum so will be interested to see where this goes? Cheers.

Welcome to the forums. I do believe you will find some very helpful tips here in any form of modeling you do. Very nice to have you with us.

Many thanks for all the kind welcoming posts. Very encouraged. Only problem now is to sort out the subscription for FineScale Modeler magazine as the Zinio app seems to be in Chinese only :-((. Need to work this out. Thanks again.

It's been a month since last post due mainly to the part 91 flying I get involved in which can be hectic, especially in China where much of the media we take for granted is blocked, such as google, gmail, facebook, youtube etc..

Still experiencing subscription download problems with Zinio, as being in Hong Kong all correspondence seems to default to Chinese which can be a problem if English speaking.

Search question from this end, does anyone have a spare antenna / aerial for a 1:48 scale Junkers JU87? I'll sort out payment and shipping issues. Thank you.

A part like that is easily scratch built from sprue or strip styrene- all one needs is the measurements. Heigth, width at base and top, etc...
