Dropping in!
Posted by FeMan on Friday, October 14, 2016 10:33 PM

Hey all! Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself!

I was an avid modeler when I was younger, but stopped around highschool. Needless to say, the itch is back. I've already picked up my first kit in a long while and can't wait to get started on it.

I've always been a fan of the Scifi genre as well as anything to do with space.

Here's the kit: A Space shuttle orbiter by Hasegawa

I look forward to learning and hopefully able to contribute as best as I can!

Cheers!

Welcome to the Forums!  Glad to have you aboard!

I build whatever strikes my fancy. Been doing that for 70 of my 76 years. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you need help. That's what we're here for. Enjoy.

Welcome, FeMan!  (Love the name!)

Glad to hear you've "returned to the fold", as it were.  About 99.9% of what I build are aircraft but that doesn't mean you can't learn something new from all the different genres out there.  I've learned so much from SciFi builders, ship guys, armor folks, you name it.  So jump in with both feet and pitch right in!  It doesn't matter if you're new or a seasoned vet, we all learn new things from each other.

Welcome again!  Welcome Sign

Hello,

I am another one of those who's returned to modelling after a long hiatus while I had to get an education and a job and a family and stuff. I've been back into modelling for a couple of years but probably spent more time buying kits and wallowing in nostalgia than actually building. But things are starting to pick up.

I've got into building terrains as much as anything and I'll be hoping to pick up some tips on that as well as getting better at everything. I've got some pictures of more recent stuff on my blog/website, which is very much under construction. I'll certainly be using the gallery here for more inspiration.

Cheers.
