1 48th Airfix Boulton Paul Defiant

Beav, I'm in the US too and I don't think I've ever seen the 1/48 scale Defiant in any of the stores near me. I have however seen the 1/72 Defiant (I even bought one for my stash) as recently as late this summer. If all else fails, you can always find one in a smaller scale!

Hannants is in the UK, but they are very good and very reliable.  I've purchased from them a lot of times over the last five or six years.  It looks like they have more than ten of them in stock now.

Sorry about that. I'm from the U.S. (Just updated my bio)  Airfix USA? says they are sold out on the website. Nothing on Ebay from US. Amazon wants 3x the retail price. I guess I will just have to wait and pray they make more. Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the info. They were only availible from Airfix for approx. two weeks. On Ebay they were asking twice the price. Lesson learned, next time I will pre-order.

Welcome to the Forums! I may be ill-informed, but I think most model producers manufacture kits in "production runs." They put out a certain number of the same kits, then move on to others. Any specific kit is only available until the quantities produced run out; then we all have to wait until they do another production run of that kit, and that may take some time--although I have no idea how long. Sometimes you can find "out-of-production" kits online, at Amazon or eBay, if someone has anything left in stock.
