                        I am a 1/72 scale aircraft modeler who is 70 years old. My dad and I built mt first when I was 5. A Revell Battleship Missouri. I have a large collection of magazines and books Over 2000) I have cataloged for building references. I would like to start a series of Air America aircraft and helo from the Vietnam era. i.e. C-46,HU-1D,C-123, etc. I need the blue & white "AirAmerica" titles and handed American Flags. Anyone have a source? All I can find is ONE 1/48 scale sheet.

                        Hi Fox and welcome to the forum!

                        I just did a quick internet search and found that Mike Grant Decals has a set of 1/72 Air America decals.  Also, it looks like right here on our very own FSM forums, there was an Air America group build a couple of years ago.

                        Hello!

                        Revell has brought out an excellent 1/72 C-54 and Hannants has a decal sheet for it. One of the (last) options is an Air America bird:

                        By the way, I'd love to build some Air america birds, too. While the choppers were pretty colourful, those old transports are real sleepers - bare metal with just small inscriptions - I mean I wouldn't expect anything else from a top secret operation!
