Lighting help - Idea

Oh, and in the background on the bench, you can see an old gooseneck desk lamp, which I use sometimes for additional light, but it's primarily used to accelerate drying times when I paint a figure with oil paints.  It also has a 60w lamp, and that throws off a good, warm heat, which is perfect for that application.

My bench is in my cellar.  Over my bench, I have 3 60w incandescents.  One is in a socket mounted in the ceiling above the bench, more or less centered.  The other two are in architect's lamps, mounted in holes drilled into the frame, so I can reposition them as necessary.  Here are a couple of pics, so you can see what I mean:

I also have to use an OptiVisor, because I can't see things up close like I used to.  My visor is not a lighted model, and if I were looking for a visor today, I would get one with an attached light.  You can't have too much, I think.

I have a shelf over the bench with a 4 foot flourescent light with 2 daylight bulbs mounted to the bottom of the shelf. Works fine for me but sometimes I need just a little extra light on something I'm working on and for that I have the swing arm light with the magnifier mounted within reach. Us old guys need all the help we can get.

Might try a swing arm desk lamp, or even one of the "ring light" swing arms with a magnifer in the center.
