I retired from the Army last year and I seem to have some free time on my hands.  I have built models since I was 10 or so.  I never did anything great but I want to expand my knowledge into making things more realistic and historical correct.  The only thing I did do when I was young was build vehicle from different parts and make durby cars.  My uncle and I would put small moters in them and have fun.  Once the would no longer  run we would rebuild.  So I have fabricated parts before.   I mainly do armor now.  I have first had knowledge on the subject so it helps.  I am currently working on a M24 Chaffee.  Having some issues. I will be asking a lot of questions in the near future.

If you check out the Armor section of these forums, you will find lots of help. With your experience, you might be able to help some of them too. Wink Look forward to seeing pics of your builds.

Welcome to the forum!  Thanks for serving!

I think there are a lot of modelers with the same background, retired military.

I look forward to seeing your builds!

Best regards,
