Bish

Your really diving in there with that takom kit. The maus will be a nice intro to Dragon kits. Its one of there older ones and diesn't have half a box of unused parts but still nice. I recently build the Trumpeter E-100 Jagdpanzer. really nice kit with nice detailed but not over done. And the good thing about those paper Pz's is you can paint them anyway you want.

Yea im thinking i may put that one back and start the maus. But maybe not i have majority of the paint for it. So it would allow me time to gather aftermarket parts for the maus. I don't really scare easy when it comes to large parts count. I'm a master certified heavy diesel technician by trade and 90% of the time im building engines at work. So having a billion pieces that only go back together one way is a norm for me and making sure its right. Thats why i enjoy modelling. Its nice to come home and get a break from beating on metal and getting cut up by it to work on something more delicate.

I just added a takom's king tiger kit #2045 to my stash. yea... that thing has like 20 full sized sprues in the box. Box is about double the size of a normal kit box. Also added dragons's 1/35 maus to the stash as well. Trying to knock out the paper panzers. Next ones will be e100 e50 and the Geschutzwagen. the maus will be getting metal tracks and pe. the e50 i will attempt to make it look like the e50m in world of tanks so i will be getting a paper panzer turrent for that kit. I have a big issue tho. Since getting back into the hobby ive noticed getting paint is a pain. Not only on the wallet... I have to order everything tools paints kits. The local hobby lobby stinks so it forces me to stop frequently. But i will show you the lowe its waiting to be painted. Paints will be here next week along with a cmk tiger engine that i will attempt to fit into the lowe. New to airbrushing as well so im nervous about attempting the late war ambush camo.

Welcome aboard. Now i wanna see that Lowe. I have that kit and it looks nice. But if you think thats a high parts count, wait till you get a Dragon kit.

And don't forget to remind your wife that she pushed you into it. that might come in handy as the stash builds and you spend more time at the bench. Wink

Well i just got back into the hobby. My wife pushed me into it and well i enjoy it even more now that im 24 years old than when i was 12 years old building model cars. I found that i throughly enjoy doing 1:35 scale armor the best. Still have tons to learn and alot more practice to be gotten. So far ive only completed 2. The monogram m48 patton. Then i did tamiyas kampfpanzer leopard tried airbrushing for the first time on that one. Now im building the amusing hobby lowe and wow. I love high parts count and extreme detail.
