Hi all, frankly I haven't built a model in probably 30 years. College and fraternity life seemed to have put a damper on that. But the love of my life loves doing crafty things and working on models in the same room with her seems like a great idea so here I am getting back into it! Time to re-learn all the airbrushing, weathering, and long hours of research needed to produce historically accurate models. I'll mostly be focusing on WW2 armor but may dabble in aircraft, ships, and tracks from other periods as get back into the swing of things.
In fact, my first foray back into building is a cast metal 1:12 Model 1857 Napoleon 12 pounder. I spent more hours than I can count hiking around Shiloh National Military Park as a Boy Scout and always wanted a replica of one of the guns from Ruggles' Battery.
Anyway, hope to learn some new tricks from the forum. Looking forward to browsing around here!
