Welcome to the Forums Andrew! Glad to have you aboard!

Thank you for your service! Your knowledge might be very helpful to some of the aircraft guys.

I used to do a lot of 1/72 but am now finishing them up and moving up to 1/48 as eyesight and hands are going bad with my age passing the 76 year mark. Main interest is WWI & WWII planes and old sailing ships as you can see by my avatar. Plus, if I see something that I like, I get it if my walet says OK. I've learned a lot here and I keep on learning as the days go by. You've come to the right place. The members here are very knowledgeable and are ready to help out with any questions/problems you might have.

Enjoy. Looking forward to seeing pics of your builds.

Hello, I'm new here to the FSM forum, but not necessarily the model "forum" community as a whole, having been active on a couple of other sites for a few years. I recently renewed my FSM subscription after a couple of years...honest reason? I used to get it as a Xmas gift subscription each year from my wife's step monster, but they haven't spoken in a few years! lol Hey, she was good for something! Anyway, I'd pick it (FSM) up sporatically here and there but decided to get back as a subscriber and save me the hassle.

With the new subscription I figured I'd get registered here in the Forum, because I like to engage with other model builders, regardless of what they build, because you can always learn something or meet someone who knows where to point you if you're looking for something.

My main interest is 1/48 scale aircraft, primarily WWII thru present day. I say, any aircraft worth doing in 1/72nd scale...will only be that much cooler in 1/48 scale! I tend to do a good mix of WWII and jet aircraft. I will certainly build subjects in 1/72 scale if it is something I'm interested in and 1/72 is my only option. As an example, I was a P-3 Orion crewman, as much as I'd love one in 1/48th scale...probably ain't gonne happen! So, I've built a couple in 1/72.

Glad to be back in the FSM family and look forward to gaining further knowledge in the hobby. Cheers!

v/r
