Tubosteve

I have recently (last year or so) returned to one of my childhood hobbies after many years of abstination. I stopped odelling after I discovered girls / football and pubs Smile My return was prompted by an accident after which during my recovery, my wife bought me a model to keep me occupied........little realising that my former passion for it would return so strongly. Luckily I am now recovered but unfortunatley for her, I now spend hours in my little man cave making models......it is just so addictive!

Each model I make is now a little better than the last as I slowely become more proficient. I still only build out of the box, not good or confident enough to try 'run before I can walk' in modelling terms. I have spent hours watching tutorials and looking at photos etc of all the models that people have been making, some of which are truely amazing in terms of attention to details and the sheer brilliance and patience that must have been involved......maybe one day I can be half as good as many of your guys'n'gals.

Wine, women and song.  The downfall of every red bloodied male out there.  Better to get back into the hobby late in life than never at all.  I also am amazed at the quality of builds that are posted on line.  Makes me a little shell shocked to the point I don't want to post any pictures, which I never have.  I have to remember though, I build models for myself and any and all flaws in my models make them unique. I shouldn't be ashamed of what I build.  The hobby is meant to be for fun, and fun it will be.
