water slide decals
Posted by skip pinkerton on Monday, February 20, 2017 8:24 PM

Hi everyone, after about 30 years i'm getting back into model plane building. have purchased a revell b-29 model that i'm starting on. i need help in finding some decals. when a bomber made a bombing mission a bomb would be painted on the plane near the nose art, if a fighter was shot down another picture would be painted. i have been unable to locate some water slide decals of these and was wondering if any of you know where i could purchase some.

Found these from Kits-world.  Both look to be the same sheet.

Hannant's seem to think they're suitable for multiple scales.

Sprue Brothers list them as 1/72 scale.

Couldn't find any "bomb" mission markings.

But... Those are pretty much fighter "kill" marks. I have never seen a photo of a B-29 with "kill" marks, only bomb mission ones.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Welcome aboard.

The only mission markings i could find were also from Kits world and part of a larger B-17 set.
