It is an honour to announce that I have been selected for the second stage of the Passchendaele Youth Ambassador social media competition, along with 19 other young Kiwis.
“The Passchendaele Youth Ambassador social media competition will choose two young people to be part of the Youth Ambassador delegation, with special responsibility for social media communications. These Youth Ambassadors will work with their fellow Youth Ambassadors, as well as the New Zealand Defence Force public affairs team to bring home stories and images from Belgium.We want as many New Zealanders as possible to experience what it would be like to be at the centenary, and will be using social media to tell the stories of Passchendaele.”

The second stage involves running a three week social media campaign. This will be from the 22 April through to the 12 May, and will be judged by a panel. The top two entrants will be offered a place on the 2017 Youth Ambassador delegation to Belgium for the Battle of Passchendaele centenary.
Veterans Affairs is a government organization that supports veterans and their families,
celebrate veterans' courage, comradeship and commitment and commemorates veterans' loss and sacrifice.
I do not require any financial funding or donations simply just support on social media-all you have to do is like/follow my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages I have set up.
My objectives are to make a lasting difference by bringing awareness to a conflict that unfortunately the general public knows very little of, engage with our youth, bring awareness to the struggle and sacrifice of our veterans, and to honour our greatest generation, our veterans are highly underrated.
I am perfect for this as military history, notably both World Wars, are my greatest interest
Supporting my pages on social media is like buying war bonds-except you are supporting peace and commemoration-not war
With enough social media support, this will enable me to fulfill my dream of traveling to Belgium alongside Veterans Affairs and The NZ Defence Force.
If successful, myself and one other winner will travel to Belgium for 3 weeks, we will provide social media coverage of the Passchendaele Centenary.
