Hello and seeking help with Navy Mk IV full pressure suit and gear...
Posted by Dogstar on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 4:34 PM

Hi...I'm an avid model nut and want to fabricate an authentic representation of the pre-cursor to the Mercury Space Suit and helmet...the Navy Mk IV type 3 full pressure suit and attendant gear (life vest, harness, etc) that Navy pilots wore during that era, which I believe was mid to late 50s and 60s......would love to get drawings or detailed photos etc...can any one offer some guidance as to which segment of the forums might be the most appropriate for me to ask in?

thanks!

George

Dont worry about the thumbprint... paint it rust and call it "Battle damage" !

Welcome to the Forums George! Glad to have you aboard!

Try the Space segment of the Forum. They might be able to help you. Also, Google "Navy Mk IV type 3 full pressure suit".  Found lots of pics there.

Hope that this helps.
