Hello from western North Carolina
Posted by kensar on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 6:59 AM

Hello everyone.  My name is Ken Mouton.  I live in western North Carolina.  I have been building models for more than 20 years.  Most of them are car models, but recently, I have been building aircraft.  Current interest is civilian gliders.  Since model planes are new to me, I am still learning the techniques.  I joined because the site has a civilian aircraft sub-forum.  I hope to contribute to the forum soon.

Thanks,

Ken Mouton

Welcome to the Forums Ken! Glad to have you aboard!

You've come to the right place. The members here are very knowledgeable and are ready to help you with any questions/problems that you might have. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We've all been there at one point or another.

I've been building for 70 of my 76 years with WWI & WWII planes my favorites but sailing ships bring up a close 2nd. I will build anything that strikes my fancy and my wallet says OK.

Good luck and enjoy.

Welcome to the forums, Ken! Where abouts do you live in western NC? I will be up in Hendersonville & Asheville starting this coming Thursday through Sunday to work at one of my hospitals. Maybe we can meet up for lunch or dinner. My wife will be with me, too, as there is a HUGE quilting convention going on in Asheville this weekend. This way, my company pays all of our expenses (except for the quilting convention stuff), and we get to spend some time together in the mountains during the leaf-changing season. If you're interested, just PM me.

Again, Welcome!

Gary Mason

Used to live in Hickory, NC many years ago.  Beautiful country up toward the Smokies.
