After posting twice on this forum I forgot to introduce myself.
I have been making airplane models off and on since age 8, I lost interest in the mid 1980s and took up flying R/C and only returned to this hobby in 2002.
My main interest is in WWII Luftwaffe and Luft 46 airplanes. I can't believe how much improvement there is in modern kits and the good subject matter, as well as paints and decals! It is a great time to re-enter this hobby.
A few weeks ago I bought my first digital camera and shot a few pictures of some of my early builds and was impressed how easy it was to take decent pictures, at the same time I thought it would look cool to make an airfield setting to photograph my models on. And that is where I am now, working on a decent photography base and backdrop. The base is nealy done as well as a control tower but have a few other things to build such as a hanger, fuel trucks, Kubelwagons, figures, and maybe a couple of battle damaged Bf 109s without wings inside the hanger.
I have been collecting kits well before I gave up flying R/C, and have a well rounded kit collection, including several Bf 109s in 1/32 and 1/48 scales, several Fw 190s both F-8s and D-9s from Tamiya, four Amtech Ta 183s and a large number of Huma and Revell Luft 46 aircraft. I have all I need except time.
