You will have a lot of scribing/wheeling to do, but only if you're so inclined. I'm unsure of aftermarket, most are catering to the later releases. I've always been impressed with what folks have done with that kit, takes a little tlc. Hope to see a picture of her should you decide to build it.

OK, so back in the mid to late 80's my brother and his wife bought two Revell 1/32 scale F4U-1 Corsairs, kit # H-278.  They were going to see which could assemble theirs faster and quit after an hour.  So they have been in my pile since then.  I haven't built an airplane of any type since I was 8 or 10 years old (68 now) and would like any opinions of this kit as well as source(s) for any after market stuff that might be available for it before I get started.  Also, all the panel lines and rivets are raised.  Do I have a lot of sanding, scribing and ponce wheeling ahead of me?
