Howdy !

Google doesn't work for a few of us here.

( Even having an account, most of the time it just show's us a Grey circle , and we cant see anything. )

I'm a truck driver too, .... and have "Invented" several new "Curse word's" for the general motoring public ... ( isn't it amazing how STUPID people can manage to get a licence ? )

I'm afraid I cannot relate to the "cold weather" you get up there.... I live in Arizona.... right ON the boarder of Mexico.

To me ..... 40* is    "FREEZING !!!"  ( I usually wont take my jacket off untill it hit's 84 deg..

Welcome to FSM.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Confused Sad stuff for everyone Jim. Wouldn't Google Plus work? I have some things posted there and can use the link to it wherever I want for as many times as I want.

But hey, I have no idea on the politics of it, I just love to help whenever possible.

But here's my Google Plus link in case you've never been to the site before.

Hi Terry, many of the members on the FSM forums, including me, are having to find alternate ways to post pics on here. We used to belong to Photobucket which is a photo hosting site that lets you store pics for free and used to let you post which ones you want to Forums for free. They recently put the screws to us by trying to charge us around $40 a month for the "pleasure" of using their site. I'm in the process of checking out other sites that will let me post, for free I hope. I'm an old fart who is totally computer ignorant and it's taking me a while. You'll see questions and answers about this problem pop up every once in a while on here.

Hey Jim,

Whenever I attempt to post a photo on these chat windows I only have a link option. It doesn't have an option to pick from the device gallery. Ive also visited the photos section of the site and it shows that I have nothing posted yet. Lol

Any tips?

Terry

Hey Brynn, I'm just finishing off my 7th model. A Revell Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

After this I have one more, Ramcharger and then I would like to do some military stuff. I already have 3 planes, so I probably won't grab one of those yet.

So to answer your question, my niche is TBD.

Oh, and tell your folks it's -33°c here in Lloydminster Alberta today.

Hey Frozen Rabbit! Glad to see you here! Welcome to the forum!

I'm from the Deep South, but my parents and sisters are from Canada (Dad and sisters from Edmonton+Calgary, and mom from near Saskatoon). Grandparents are in Vancouver. I live near Buffalo, NY now. I'm beginning to understand why they never liked the cold...Indifferent

What's your modelling niche?

At your service,

Brynn

Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you with us.

I was very active in R/C sailboat racing back in the '70s. Building model sailing ships got me started in that hobby as you can see by my avatar. I've been building for 71 of my 77 years and I build anything that strikes my fancy and my wallet says OK.Wink My favorites now are WWI & WWII planes with sailing ships bringing up a close second.

Hope you enjoy your retirement and being back in the hobby (after you get done with everything on the "honey do" list). The members on the "Ships" section of these forums are very  knowledgeable and ready to help out with any questions/problems that you might have. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

Oh, don't forget to post pics of your builds.

Hey all. I started my first model in almost 40 years on February 2nd 2018. I've completed six since then.

I'm a retired truck driver - turned - service writer. I am from Newfoundland , Canada and now live in Alberta, Canada.

Aside from my new found love for modelling, I am fairly active into 1:10 RC crawler trail trucks and large scale wooden ships. I look forward to being an active member.
