Hello - Coming Back After So Long
Posted by Spectre on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 9:38 AM

Hello,

My name is Clint and as the title says, it has been such a long time since I've opened a tube of glue or a jar of paint and immersed myself into this hobby. In fact, 35+ years. Boy howdy, how have the materials and tools have changed? At the time, I assembled Monogram aircraft kits and hand painted everything. However, towards the end, I purchased a Binks SA AB and a hobby comprssor, but I never got it to work very well.

So, I'll try not to be too annoying and pesky, but I will have tons of questions going forward.

Thank you all and I look forward to interacting with each of you.

Cheers

Welcome Sign  As said above, lots of returnees here, including me.  Ask away, there is a ton of good information to be had by asking questions here.  Spend some time skimming the topics on the forum, and you might find a lot of the answers are already here.

Dwayne or Dman or just D.  All comments are welcome on my builds.

Welcome back to the hobby, and welcome to Finescale!  I look forward to seeing your builds!

I built Monogram kits when I was a kid (b. 1964) as well as Revell.  And when I got back into modeling, those were some of the first kits I bought.  There are a lot of good kits out there today, but the kits we built as kids still hold up pretty well, too.

Best regards,

Brad

Welcome to the Forums Clint! Glad to have you aboard.

There is no such thing as "annoying and pesky". We've all been down that road at one time or another and are ready to help out with any questions/problems that you might have. Ask away. Looking forward to seeing pics of your work.

Enjoy!

Howdy !

I'll try not to be too annoying and pesky, but I will have tons of questions going forward.

Don't worry,.... The other's here are already use to this...... because I'm the "Pesky" one here.    Question's ???    We LOVE question's !!!  But for every question, you will get ten different answer's ..... and at least two of them will seem "Odd" ... ( and at least one of the "Odd" answer's will probably be mine. )

Welcome to FSM.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
