Nothing special just new in here
Posted by Per a.k.a Nirvana on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 8:24 PM

Hi all,

Saying hi as I got my Revell U.S.S Constitution today.
It was a gift from the company I am working for as an appreciation for having the best part sales result last quarter of last year.

I have been building wood model ships for the past 30 years (sorry, hope you don't mind), so I am used to "scratch" build from time to time.

I know "Connie" has a lot of extra parts available on the net. For instance like the wood deck at a price tag of 80 dollars.

Looking forward creating a build log along with pictures and question as I guess I will have quite a few as I progress with her.

Thank you for accepting me in your forum.

Welcome to the Forums Nirvana! Glad to have you aboard.

As was said above, a few builds of "Connie" going on in the "ships" section of these forums. Sailing ships are my 2nd favorite builds, and I can tell you that you will find lots and lots of great information to help you in your build there. The members are very knowledgeable and ready to help you with any questions/problems that you might have. Good luck with your build. Looking forward to following your build.

Good luck.

P.S. Almost forgot, is that a 10R or 12 meter R/C sailboat in your avatar? Used to race them for about 15 years up and down the East Coast. Also raced Solings and Santa Barbaras too. Wanted to come out and sail with the guys in California but never made it.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
