Hello from the Old Dominion
Posted by VA Spartan on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 8:32 PM

Greetings, fellow hobbyists.  I have been modeling for roughly 40 years - my first kit was the Monogram 1/72 F6F Bearcat built with my dad maybe in 1978 or so.  I took the requisite break during high school and university but being the son of a modeler always kept up with the hobby through my dad’s issues of FSM during that time.  After university I started back up when work and family commitments allowed.  Like many I suppose, my stash is large now that middle age has hit.  I like mainly military subjects - aircraft of all eras and nationalities, WWII and later armor subjects, and modern naval subjects.  Other hobbies include running, fishing, exploring the outdoors and nature, and history.  I joined the FSM Community basically to share with like minded folks the pleasure of sclae modeling.  Cheers.

On the workbench: 1/35 Takom T-54B; 1/35 Tamiya Char B1bis w/French Infantry; 1/48 Tamiya Fairey Swordfish Mk. 1

Thanks all!  The CharB1 is to the painting stage.  It’s a good kit so I hope I do it justice!

Welcome! I would love to see the Char Bis and french infantry too. Great subject matter that doesn't get enough love.
