Thank you everyone, I posted in "paint" section also.
Agree with the rest regarding the proper forum, but for brush painting - Toshi is your friend.
Thanks,
John

Welcome aboard.
Tamiyacan be brush painted, but over larger areas you can have problems, if you go over an area you have just applied paint to you areas likely to remove as much as you apply. You need to apply one coat then leave to dry. Useing a primer will help it adhere, but you will still have thge same issue. I have switched alomost completly to Vallejo model colour for figures, both 72nd and 35th.
I wopuld not bother repainting the figures, i am guessing you areattching them to a base and won't be handling them. If your useing the soft plastic figures, especially the Airfix type, the paint will flak off over time if handeled, no matter what paint is used.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Hello everybody,
I'm Cenk Ozerdem. I recently started building 1/72 scale aircraft models. I have bought ground crew sets also. I don't have airbrush, I'm brush painting my models.
I started using Tamiya Acrylic paints, I directly applied on 1/72 figures (pilot & ground crew) and so far it seems ok. However in the forums I always read that Tamiya is for airbrush and Vallejo Model Color is for brush painting. My question is what happens if I directly apply the tamiya paint to the figure? what happens if I don't use primer for the figures.
When painting the plane I will use primer. Can I use brush to prime the plane?
For the already painted figues with tamiya, would you recommend to start over? priming and using Vallejo model color?
Thank you for the patience since there are tons of questions.
